For the school to continue and help to manage its own costs we must charge school fees. It costs about 1600 Swedish crowns a month to keep the nursery school running with wages to five employees and food for the students.
Kamuga Youth Center has about a dozen employees. It also has to pay rent. The wages are low, the Manager and the computer instructor are highest paid. Their salaries are about 1000 Swedish crowns a month. Operating costs are about 10,000 kronor a month. This includes the Vocational School.
As you understand we need help to continue the work, which means so much to the children and youth.
A grant of 50 Swedish crowns a month makes a difference!
It can provide a future for a young person who would otherwise have no prospects. Your contribution goes directly to the work in Kenya. We are controlled by certified public accountants in both countries.

We have accomplished much and have a functioning school. Here is one of the students’ story:
My name is Michael Ouma Odonga. I started school in 1994 and took my first degree in 2002. I started in high school in 2004. My father and mother died that year in a traffic accident when they were coming to visit me at school.
I lost all hope, since I was now completely without parents. I started to burn wood to charcoal, so that I could get food. Someone told me about Kamuga Vocational School in 2010. I knew nothing about carpentry when I started. Now I can produce tables, chairs, cabinets, beds etc. We have very good teachers.
When my education ends in two years time I will be a fully skilled carpenter. I am grateful to you for sponsoring the school. We would need more tools so that we can make different kinds of furniture.
