Homa Bay has the highest number of people who are HIV positive in Kenya. One in four people are affected. This means that there are too many orphans.

Knowledge about HIV and AIDS has increased. They understand the importance of eating correctly. Free anti viral tablets are available and must be taken when diagnosed as HIV positive in order to avoid developing AIDS.

We have supported a nursery school for orphans since 2005. With our help, they get nutritious food, beans and vegetables every day. Once a week they get fruit and once a week, meat. There are HIV positive children in the school and we like to provide good food for all the children in order to keep them healthy.

The school has two nursery school teachers, one assistant and one cook who cooks for the seventy children every day.

They receive excellent teaching. Each month, they are set exams by the school authorities.

We also help with school uniforms and shoes.
